Letters of condolences come to Perm from twin cities.

Jerry E. Abranson mayor of Louisville wrote: "The citizens of Louisville join me in expressing our deep concern for all who were injured and our sincere sympathy for those who lives in the catastrophic fire that occurred in Perm this weekend.

Our hearts have been heavy as we have watched the news unfold here in the United States. We can only imagine how heartrending the situation has been for you and your city and, most importantly, for the families who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.

Although we are thousands of miles from you, please know that your countless friends in Louisville are thinking of you and your citizens at this very difficult time."

Helmut Kollig Bezirksbuergermeister, Bonn (Germany) wrote: "We heard about the dreadful news reaching us from your city.

We would like to ensure you our sympathy. Hopefully this may help to carry that heavy burden expecting you the next days and weeks."

Mary Clarkson (Councillor Lord Mayor of Oxford): "On behalf of the people of Oxford, and especially the City Council, I send my sincere condolences, following the horrific nightclub fire early on Saturday. You have many friends here in Oxford and our hearts go out to those who have lost friends and family as well as those who remain critically injured.

Please tell the citizens of Perm that they are in our thoughts and convey to them our deep sympathy."
