International commission discussed searching for Mikhail Romanov’s remains
As stated by city department of culture and youth policy, “Perm Golgotha: new materials on searching for remains of the Great Knyaz Mikhail Romanov” round table took place in June 17 at Pushkin Central City Library.
The round table was dedicated to the results of search expedition in 2013 and is held within the framework of “Romanov Dynasty: Perm period” regional program.
International expedition, searching for Mikhail Romanov and his secretary Brian Johnson, worked in Perm June 1 through 16. The expedition included members of «Search Foundation, Inc.» fund (USA) and Perm Historical and Cultural Fund “Acquisition”.
International discussing commission included American, English and Russian experts:
Peter Sarandinaki – historian, founder and director of “Search Foundation, Inc.”, USA;
Clark Davenport – forensic geophysicist from the NecroSearch International, USA;
Brook Schaub – member of the NecroSearch International (a volunteer group that assists law enforcement and others in the location of clandestine graves and the recovery of evidence from those graves), USA;
Steven Jackson – famous American journalist, writer, author of 17 bestsellers on famous politicians and historical figures biography, USA;
Sergey Nikitin – lead Russian expert in anthropological reconstruction, criminalist expert at Moscow Forensics Bureau and lead expert in recognition of human remains. In 1994 Nikitin has conducted a unique facial recognition of Russian Emperor Nikolay II, members of his family and inner circle.
The round table was attended by director of Perm Historical and Cultural Fund “Acquisition” Nelly Zenkova, members of the Fund, regional ethnographers and historians.
