New app, showing public transportation schedule, was built in Perm

Perm citizens now have access to a new mobile app for Android and iOS, called “Gortrans Perm”. It makes the process of finding the right mean of public transportation even easier.

As stated by the City Department of transport and main roads, the search engine of the app lets you find the right transport not only by the stop name or line number, but also using the map. “The app defines your location and searches for the nearest stops. Then you only have to choose from the variety of stops and transport lines. You can also look up each line’s time-table with not only planned, but also actual time of arrival”, - the department clarified.

In addition, there is a real-time view of transport lines movement, located under a special sign on the top of the screen.

City transport schedule is also available online on map.gortransperm.ru (mobile version m.gortransperm.ru).

“We are happy that “Perm Public Transportation” service, launched in 2011, is getting more popular and used among Perm citizens, and mobile schedule app stably increases the number of users. It shows that passengers use mobile devices more often these days. Building mobile app therefore is a step on the way to more convenient and effective usage of public transportation”, - said acting Head of the Department of transport and main roads Irina Yastrebova.

The app can be downloaded for free from Play Market and App Store. It’s currently still under construction. You can provide feedback directly to the Department of transport and main roads or through “City Administration of Transport”.
