A team from Perm has become a prizewinner in an international IT competition

“Brainy Studio”, a game developers team from Perm, has become one of the prizewinners in the “Microsoft Imagine Cup” International IT start-ups competition (Seattle, USA). Perm team was top team in Games, and won 70 thousand dollars.

The team presented their new game “Turn On” - a game for mobile devices based on an innovative story: a small electrical spark’s adventures. The spark helps to provide a city with electricity. This project was the best one among all the projects submitted to the competition and won the AppCampus Award – 20 thousand dollars to be spent on the further development of the application. In addition, it was awarded as the top project in Games and won yet another prize for its developers – 50 thousand dollars.

The young game developers from Perm National Research Polytechnic University started in the city business incubator. In 2013 “Brainy Studio” presented the “Witchcraft” project that won the second prize in the «Games» category in the Microsoft Imagine Cup Russia National Finals. This year the team from Perm presented the “Turn On” project and won the right to represent Russia in the 2014 Imagine Cup World Finals.
