Agrigento, the twin-city of Perm, is holding the annual festival “La Settimana RUSSA in SICILIA” («Russia’s week in Sicily” ).

It is the eighth festival for Perm Region youth cultural and arts groups who perform at a variety of open-space locations in Italian province of Agrigento.  The festival has become the symbol of friendship between Perm and Agrigento and is promoted by Agrigento administration and the Russian General Consulate in Palermo. 

Russian culture festival covers not only the spectacular open-air performances on the Mediterranean sea coast,  but also involves  implementation of joint creative projects, culture exchanges, incentives for development of youth creative groups, direct dialogue between residents of the two cities through the language of arts. 

This year festival participants from Perm include the “Voskresenniye ” folk group (led by Irina Kulyova), Fashion Theater “LikStar” (director Elena Ivanova, fashion designer Oksana Gorankova), show choir “The Sunny droplets” (artistic director Evgeniya Prozorova)  .  

The groups are the winners of Russian and international competitions and are wonderful ambassadors of Perm City and Region.

Perm groups performances and concerts gather thousands of spectators and the event receives a broad coverage in municipal and regional mass media.
