Special screenings and discussions for “Vuz-Flahertiana” in Perm

September 8,  2021  started a series of discussion programmes based on the Flahertiana film stocks organized by university   and  high school students. The discussion participants initiate the topics and choose films for the event; discussions  cover a variety of issues, from historical memory to searching self- identity. 

Above all, the students tackle rather hot issues like parents’ divorce (based on Olga Averkieva “Child profanity”), hardships of studying in cadet’s school ( «Golden buttons»  produced by Alexey Yevstigneyev) and complexity  of finding one’s purpose  («Stand-up is pain» by Sabrina Karabayeva). 

The programmes will continue in schools and universities of Perm until September 16, with over 20 special screenings for different groups. The experts who will assess the moderators’ job in discussions include media lecturers of Perm Cinemateca, video operators and university professors. 

The project is one of the prize winners of the  XXIII City Competition of social projects “The City is Us” .
