Over 1 mln cubic metres of snow was taken out from the city streets
Specialists of the city administrative-technical inspection are monitoring the quality of roads and streets maintenance on a daily basis in all the city districts.
According to Perm City Administration, 261 snowploughs and trucks and about 150 cleaners were brought out on February 8th for overnight cleaning of the city, taking away over 17, 000 cubic metres of snow.
– “Since the start of winter season we have by now already removed about 1million cubic metres of snow from the streets of Perm. To compare - last year the same amount was the contractors result for the whole winter. We’ve had a lot of snow this winter. We need to keep up and continue actively snow removal and cleaning the roads,” noted Perm Mayor Aleksey Demkin.
The district administrations were strongly advised to pay special attention to cleaning parking spaces. Administrations are also monitoring the territories adjacent to shops, malls and cafes.
