Electric bus testing has been completed in Perm
222 successful test-drives of the electric bus were organized for a No50 bus regular route from residential area of Krokhalevo to Perm-2 railway station covering the overall distance of 3 345 km and transporting over 14, 000 passengers.
The electric bus testing was competed by “Permelectrotrans” municipal company on April 19, 2022. The bus will go back to the production facility.
– During the testing period we have received a lot of positive responses from the passengers, who were satisfied by the quiet and smooth running of the bus and its ergonomic and spacious interior. The bus drivers were impressed by its excellent handling and maneuverability.” – state the “Permelectrotrans” representatives.
In addition to a regular No 50 bus route, all the interested residents had a chance to see the new bus during a special festival under the slogan “This is an electric bus”. The event was held on April 2, 2022 in the open-air museum of the transportation company where the bus was displayed for the visitors who could learn about the bus structure and its technical details, as well as try driving it.
For information: The KAMAZ- 6282 electric bus was delivered to Perm on February 25, 2022. This innovative vehicle is equipped with everything necessary for a comfort travel: GPS navigator, information display and audio information system, passenger count system, heating and conditioning, CCTV monitoring, USB- charging points, validators of contactless payment, door release button. The bus is a low-floor one which makes it accessible for people with limited mobility. The total capacity of the bus is 85 passengers (including 33 seats). The testing was organized as part of the agreement signed in November 2021 between the Perm Region and “KAMAZ” Plc. The Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin emphasized that the regional authorities aim at equipping passenger transportation with the most ecology-friendly vehicles that are be operationally reliable and safe.
The regional Transportation Ministry informed that the electric bus was also successfully tested at minus zero temperatures, and the overall testing results will be analyzed by the experts. Following their analyses the administration will consider the feasibility of electric buses operation in Perm for passenger transportations and its further development.
