2022 Festival season on the Perm Embankment ended with a fire show and yachts parade

Last weekend completed the summer season at  the Kama River Embankment.  The evening show was visited by over 12,000 people. 

The summer at the Embankment was filled with a variety of festivals – one could enjoy morning yoga, listen  to the lectures, take part in a creative workshop or join a free class in lawn tennis.  As to Andrey Khomyakov, the Director of Perm City Culture and Entertainment Company, this summer the Embankment became the most popular places in Perm: the number of visitors  in the 3 summer months totaled about 1 million residents and guests of the city.  The Embankment  was numerously ranked one of  “a must”   tourist destinations to visit in the federal top  lists.   

The ”Embankment Day”  was the final event in the summer programme – a muti-genre festival closing the season.  The two amphitheaters held a special  entertainment programme, the promenade became the location for street actors; there was a yachts  parade on the Kama along the Embankment; the lectern at the children’s playground hosted the “Igrofest” – games festival. 

The new amphitheatre hosted an open-air concert by groups from Perm, Kirov and Yekaterinburg. 

The Embankment has become a ""unique"" festival location – every weekend the city residents and guests  could take part in numerous multi-genre events – from orchestras playing live music to open air morning yoga classes. 

The Embankment will keep its status as attraction location in winter. The Perm City Culture and Entertainment Company jointly with the Culture Department of the City Administration are currently working on the concept and programme of winter activities and New Year festivities and decorations to present for the residents in winter season.
