Perm’s tourist product success at All-Russian forum in Karelia

Souvenir postcards with the sights of Perm gained  a high recognition in “Tourist souvenir” competition. The postcards are available at the stalls in airport, hotels and at tourist information centres. 

Perm City Administration took part in All-Russian forum of tourism information organisations held in Republic of Karelia, Russian Federation.  

All-Russian forum of tourism information organisations is an educational and business event  aimed at creating the opportunities for  professional experience exchange and elaborating general strategy for strengthening the system of interaction and promotion.  The form participants  include  regional and municipal  tourist information centres (TIC), representatives of tourism promotion agencies. The forum programme features  both business events and workshops, the discussions focusing  on  new approaches to TIC activities, souvenir products, interaction with market players. 

As part of the business programme, Yulia Anokhina, head of the Perm City Administration Department for tourism promotion, made a presentation of the project of souvenir postcards. 

The presentation also covered the activities of TIC in Perm, which offer a wide scope of information on sight-seeing both in Perm City and the Region, the  city life, city public transport and much more. 

Other forum participants from Perm  included the Perm Region TIC and “Promobot” company. Fyodor Chang, vice-director of “Promobot”, presented on “Robots in tourism”, emphasizing that creating  information robots for  TIC  will help increase the  interest to the tourist potential of the region  as well as raise the quality of service.  The information robot can tell the tourists about places of interest, local events and  shopping for souvenirs, it can  be used for booking and payments for tours, theatre or museum tickets. 

Perm City experience received a high recognition of the forum participants and the successful cases will be further used  by other regions and cities.
