The delegation from Perm took part in the international tourism exhibition "Expotravel" in Yekaterinburg.

Specialists from Perm City Administration presented to their Yekaterinburg colleagues the practice of participating in the tourist code project competition and discussed the branding of cities for the 300th anniversary. A team from Perm City Administration also took part in the international exhibition "Expotravel".

A delegation from Perm City Administration visited Yekaterinburg. The event took place within the framework of the agreement on cooperation between the cities, signed earlier by the Mayor of Perm, Aleksey Demkin, and the Mayor of Yekaterinburg, Aleksey Orlov.

As part of the working visit, colleagues from Yekaterinburg presented to the Perm delegation a new tourist information center in the creative cluster "Domna". There was also a panel discussion, at which Yelena Ermolina, Director of the Territorial Planning Institute, spoke about Perm's successful experience of participation in the project for the development of  tourist city centers.

As a reminder, Perm became one of the winners of the All-Russian contest for the development of tourist centers. From our city an area of 76,5 hectares was submitted for the contest. This area will be equipped with small architectural forms, recreation areas; there will be pedestrian navigation, architectural and facade lighting of buildings, forming the development direction of the key tourist streets of the city. As a result, Perm's tourist streets will have their own identity. The city will receive about 200 million rubles for the project, the improvement is scheduled for 2023.

Together with Perm City Administration, the Promobot company presented its potential in the field of tourism. Oleg Kivokurtsev, the founder and Development Director of the company, spoke on the prospects of robotics in tourism. He placed an emphasis on the powerful development of domestic tourism and noted the great role of robotics for the digitalization of tourism. During the event, Perm and Yekaterinburg also exchanged experience in the tourism industry and discussed the branding for anniversary cities based on the example of the 300th anniversary of the cities in 2023.

In addition, representatives of Perm City Administration took part in the international tourism exhibition "Expotravel" – the largest regional tourism exhibition in Russia. Each year a large number of organizations from different parts of Russia and around the world participate in it. The forum's regular participants include leading Ekaterinburg travel companies, major tour operators from Russia, near and far abroad, representatives of foreign countries, airlines, and hotels.

Visitors to the exhibition could get information about routes and modern tourist opportunities at 17 stands, including Perm's stand. The city's stand was presented in a new concept: Perm-300. Visitors and exhibitors were greeted by a guide in the guise of the city founder Vasily Tatishchev, who spoke about new excursion routes of Perm-300, representatives of the administration invited everyone to the city's anniversary, talked how the city is changing and what events are waiting for the guests. At the booth, new printed products with the city's logo were presented.

Perm booth was very popular among the exhibitors.
