Perm teachers have collected 3.5 tons of humanitarian aid for Luhansk and Donetsk residents.

Mayor of Perm Aleksey Demkin took part in sending humanitarian goods to the new Russian regions. Perm teachers initiated the humanitarian campaign ’’Open Hearts’’. The goods also include 27 heaters and a thermal imager for the tank battalion ’’Molot’’.

The humanitarian aid for emancipated territories was sent on November, 11. Aleksey Demkin, Mayor of Perm, took part in the ceremony.

’’Today we have sent another portion of humanitarian aid to support new Russian regions. 3.5 tons of necessary medicaments were collected by Perm teachers, pupils and volunteers. Medicine, first aid kits, hygiene means and other useful things are dedicated for the hospital of intensive care in Mariupol. Humanitarian campaign ‘’Open Hearts’’ was initiated exactly by educationalists - people with open hearts, who empathise  problems of other people. Some of the Perm school headmasters went to emancipated territories to help developing educational process and to share their knowledge and experience. More than 270 Donetsk teachers were instructed. I am thankful to all volunteers and sympathetic Permians for their kindness and support!’’ said Aleksey Demkin.

Perm humanitarian campaign ‘’Open Hearts’’ is dedicated to help new Russian regions, such as Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhie regions. Earlier the initiative group of Perm schools headmasters marked out the spheres of practical help for their colleagues, parents and children on the emancipated territories. It was made after the detailed analysis of situation and negotiations with Donbas and Luhansk authorities as well as with head doctors of those territories’ hospitals.

Our idea was supported by Mayor Aleksey Demkin and the Perm City Department for Education. We have thought out several spheres of help for the new Russian territories and for mobilized citizens. The school is not only a place for studying, but also for upbringing. At school, we can teach children to be kind, patriotic and thankful. During the recent month, more than 50 children became volunteers. Their parents and city businessmen joined our campaign,’’ tells Inna Dubrovina, headmaster  of school No.47.

Students helped to sort out goods, to pack them in boxes to weigh and label.

The humanitarian aid also includes 27 heaters and a thermal imager for the tank battalion ’’Molot’’. City foundation ’’Perm 300’’ helped collect money for this purpose.

Volunteers, the mobilized and their families are supported in all spheres.
