''85 events for the 85th anniversary'': Motovilikhinsky Administrative District of Perm celebrates its anniversary

In the year of the 300th anniversary of Perm, Motovilikhinsky Administrative District celebrates its 85th anniversary. Various events have been organised for citizens.

According to the Administration of the Motovilikhinsky District of Perm the festivities started with the opening of the New Year's route and the ice towns of the district.

Specific activities have been arranged for different groups of citizens and designed for each neighborhood. The district competition "Status: Creative" is currently taking place. Talented people from the age of 3 years onwards can participate in the following nominations: vocal, choreographic, instrumental, performing arts and original genre. The gala will be held in May. 

Additionally, on May 9 – the Victory Day - here will be released 9 commemorative volleys from two artillery pieces in the Sverdlov Garden of the district. The 79th athletics relay "Motovilikha" will complete the spring events. Individuals and teams of educational institutions of the district, employees of enterprises and organisations will participate in the relay. On summer weekends, open-air dances will be held in the district parks. On June 12, as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the city, a folk festival with sports events, a concert program and a prize draw will be held near the Motovilikhinsky Pond. Then, on August 12, in honour of the International Youth Day, a street culture festival will be held on the pedestrian Krupskaya Street, which will include cross-fit competitions, a dance competition, master classes and much more.

The finale of the celebrations will be an event in honour of the birthday of Motovilikhinsky district. As part of the anniversary, a concert program will be organised for citizens, as well as rowing competitions on "Dragon" boats.

Some infrastructure projects have also been planned. For example, road repairs, implementation of projects of neighbourhood associations, thematic decoration of the district. Now the list of objects that will be decorated is being discussed.
