The International Youth Friendship Camp in the Chinese city of Hohhot opened on July 29. Participants were children and teachers from 6 countries - Japan, Mongolia, South Korea, Thailand, China and Russia. Russia was represented by a delegation from Perm. Invitations from the Hohhot municipal government were received by pupils and teachers of lyceums No.4, 8 and school No. 22. The camp participants spent 6 days learning about Chinese culture.

–  I hope that young people from different countries will broaden their horizons and find new friends by sharing their experiences. This, in turn, will contribute to the constant strengthening and development of peaceful and friendly relations, - said Deputy Mayor of the City of Hohhot Zhang Jifei at the opening ceremony of the camp.

The Hohhot Foreign Office explained that during the International Camp, students visited hospitable Chinese families to familiarize children with the daily life of the country. In addition, students walked around museums, visited the exhibition of intangible cultural heritage and enjoyed informative excursions.

After the opening ceremony of the camp, the school student from Perm Vladimir Neganov noted that participation in the International Camp is a great opportunity to communicate with peers from other countries and discuss issues of interest.
