During the online meeting, the participants familiarized themselves with the activities of the educational institutions and discussed the possibility of signing a bilateral agreement and plans for cooperation between the two schools.

On 26 January, the first online meeting was held between the management of Perm school No. 22 with advanced study of foreign languages and secondary school No. 66 of the Chinese twin city of Qingdao.

For more than 20 years, Perm and Qingdao have been linked by friendly ties. Perm Gymnasia No. 2 has agreements with three educational institutions in Qingdao, and last year Lyceum No. 4 signed a protocol of intentions to develop co-operation with the junior school of Licang district in Qingdao.

Now co-operation between Perm and Qingdao schools is expanding. During the meeting, Alla Chervonnykh, Headmaster of Perm School No. 22, introduced the Chinese colleagues to the Perm education system. Perm schoolchildren enjoyed a video tour of their renovated school building - classrooms, a gym, a school museum and other places. Mrs Wang Lulu, the head teacher of the Chinese school No. 66, told that many successful graduates of this educational institution receive higher education in Russian universities and also showed her Perm colleagues a video about the Qingdao school, the classes and extracurricular activities.  Mr Xiang Dangho, Headmaster of School No. 66, voiced concrete ideas for cooperation between the two educational institutions, such as organizing language camps for children, online lessons and creative competitions, and also suggested discussing the possibility of signing a bilateral agreement. The teachers of School No. 22, in their turn, shared their opinion on what joint activities would be interesting for both children and teachers. Interesting joint projects and, of course, Chinese and Russian lessons await schoolchildren and teachers.

It is noteworthy that School No. 66 of Qingdao already has a successful experience of co-operation with Perm National Research Polytechnic University. In June 2023, a Perm delegation took part in the SCO Education and Humanities Exchange Forum, where the opening of the Sino-Russian Innovation Centre for Humanities and Technologies - a joint project of School No. 66 and Perm Polytechnic University - took place.
