Delegation from Ufa highly praised the work of Perm authorities in organizing parking space

On February 13 and 14, a delegation from Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, visited Perm.
The delegation was headed by Deputy Head - Head of the Financial Department Rustem Akbashev. As part of a busy business program, the administrative teams of the two Russian megacities exchanged management experience and discussed issues of city development in a variety of areas.
Thus, during the round table, the head of the Perm Directorate of Road Traffic of the Perm Administration Dmitry Artemenko told his colleagues from Ufa about the features of the paid parking system in the city, which has been operating for 10 years.
- The experience of paid parking in Perm often becomes a subject of study for colleagues from other cities. The practice of organizing Perm parking space is considered effective, as evidenced by quantitative indicators. In particular, the capacity of the city's street and road network has increased, and the duration of parking of vehicles in paid parking spaces has decreased. This has had a positive effect on the availability of parking for city residents and visitors, including near social and tourism facilities, noted Dmitry Artemenko, head of the Perm Road Traffic Directorate.
Colleagues from Ufa noted that Perm's experience could be an example for many large cities that also face high levels of employment and low turnover of parking spaces.
