In Perm, winners of the first round of Youth Initiatives Contest “I See. I Can. I Do” have been announced.

“I See. I Can. I Do” is an opportunity for young people to explore new roles and work as part of a team of professionals. The participants presented 28 ideas in three categories, which were evaluated by the jury.

Within the Perm’s status as the Youth Capital of Russia, local youths can recieve support for the implementation of their initiatives in the contest “I See. I Can. I Do.” Among the 28 initiatives that had been submitted in the first round there were projects focused on the development of youth movements, creative projects in the visual arts and music. The participants also presented projects dedicated to organising events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and highlighting the city’s history. Moreover, the competition included projects aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles, safety, master classes and public activities, projects for people with disabilities, as well as career guidance programmes, and soft skills development.

12 participants became winners and moved on to the third stage of the contest – project implementation. Among the projects aimed at developing a system for supporting talented and proactive youth, as well as fostering creative, professional, and intellectual potential, the following winners were recognised: Maria Ovchinnikova with the project ‘Content School “Profile”’, Dmitry Baluev with the project ‘Masters’ Fair’, Irina Artyukhina with the project ‘Your Own Wave’ and Vasilisa Shayakhmetova with the project ‘Youth Day Ball’.

Five winners presented projects aimed at developing civic and patriotic education for the younger generation, fostering tolerance among youth, and promoting legal, cultural and moral values. The following participants proceeded to the third stage of the contest: Iulia Borovskikh with the project ‘Photo-Quest’, Sergey Satyukov with the project ‘The Victory Lives in Generations’, Ksenia Dutta with the project ‘City Intellectual Game “Legal Marathon”’, Maria Nadeina with the project ‘A Way to the Victory’ and Maria Ovchinnikova with the project ‘Create Without Limits’.

Three winners were selected among the projects focused on youth involvement in innovation, entrepreneurship and volunteering, as well as on promoting civic engagement and healthy lifestyle: Vladimir Shiryaev with the project ‘School of social volunteering “#Kind_People”’, Anton Okhotin with the project ‘A Programme of Healthy Week Events’, Andrey Kostarev with the project ‘School for Volunteer Associations Leaders’.

The rest participants have the opportunity to revise their projects, take the jury's recommendations into account, and try their hand in the second round of the  “I See. I Can. I Do” contest of youth initiatives until May 31. New participants are also welcome to join the competition. The contest rules and requirements can be found in the competition regulations.
