Perm took 4th place in the digitalization index "IQ cities" among the largest cities of Russia

Perm hosted the Future Cities Development Forum. The event brought together government, business and expert community representatives to discuss key issues of digital transformation, urban planning and urban environment development.

On the final day of the forum, an award ceremony for the leaders of the IQ Cities Index was held. The IQ Cities Index helps to assess the level of digitalization of the urban economy and the effectiveness of the implementation of Smart City solutions, as well as to identify promising areas for the future development of modern cities.

- We continue to hold on to the TOP-10 leaders in the IQ Cities digitalization index rating and our projects were once again rated at the highest level. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin singled out Perm as one of the five leading cities in the implementation of artificial intelligence in the smart city concept. Together with the Government of the Perm Territory and with the support of Governor Dmitry Makhonin, we are developing this area. Smart stops are being actively introduced in the city, as well as fare collection systems and passenger flow control in transport, - noted Perm Mayor Eduard Sosnin in the Telegram channel.

During the two days of the "Cities of the Future" forum, plenary sessions and panel discussions were held. Participants discussed the implementation of artificial intelligence, "smart" technologies in housing and communal services, the safety of urban infrastructure and other relevant topics. The IV Youth Forum "Smart City: Our Future - New Faces" was held as part of the event.
