Victory in the competition allows the library to enrich its collection with new books.

The book fund of the Korolenko library carefully selected by specialists as part of modernization efforts, meets even the most demanding readers' needs. Interesting books for children and youth, classics, educational literature across various fields—all are in demand by library visitors.

Winning the All-Russian "Golden Shelf" competition is not only an acknowledgment of the activities of the "Association of Municipal Libraries" but also an opportunity to enrich its collections with new books from leading Russian publishers, which libraries traditionally receive upon concluding such competitions.

We would like to remind you that the Library was upgraded to the model standard in 2024 thanks to the national project "Culture" (now the national project "Family"). Computers and demonstration equipment appeared there. New zones for reading, free communication, family leisure, creativity and skill-building have been created there. Areas for holding creative, cultural, educational, intellectual, and leisure events were also set up.

"In the previously updated space, you can find classics, popular science, and many other genres of literature for all ages. There is also interactive equipment, computer technology, and areas for workshops and exhibitions. I invite all Perm residents to visit this and other city libraries to diversify their leisure time," noted Perm Mayor Eduard Sosnin.

On April 3, the official award ceremony for “The Golden Shelf" competition laureates will be held in St. Petersburg as part of the XVI All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Library Collections in the Digital Age: Traditional and Electronic Resources, Acquisition, Use."

The Sixth All-Russian Competition "The Golden Shelf" aimed at identifying best practices for forming and promoting library collections is organized by the Russian National Library with support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
