Outstanding educators were chosen in five categories: General Education Teacher, Early Childhood Educator, Extra-Curricular Activity Instructor, Expert in Student Development, and My First Demonstration Lesson (for teachers with less than three years of experience). Mayor Eduard Sosnin attended the award ceremony, honoring the top educators.

"We appreciate your wisdom and energy, but above all, your love that you give to our children. The 'Teacher of the Year' competition becomes increasingly competitive each year, and the projects you defend reflect the high standard of Perm's education system. Congratulations to all winners and finalists of the competition," remarked the Mayor in his congratulatory speech.

Note that the finalists vied for victory in various stages of the competition: demonstration lessons, a dialogue with children or colleagues, masterclasses, and educational challenges. Evaluation criteria varied depending on the category.

"I feel immensely grateful for the opportunity to participate in such an extraordinary competition that fosters collective creativity. Standing on this stage and receiving the title of the absolute winner fills me with great pride. Teaching is truly a marvelous profession, allowing us to impart knowledge to children and guide them on the right path," said Anna Filippova, the absolute winner of the municipal stage, who teaches Russian language and literature at School No. 2.

Competitors were evaluated by representatives of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University and other higher education institutions in the city, as well as administrators and educators who have previously won in professional skill competitions at various levels.

It is important to note that the municipal part of "The Teacher of the Year" competition represents an annual stage of the nationwide contest, dedicated to highlighting the professional competence of educators in Perm. This open competition enables participants to demonstrate their proficiency in both pedagogical and administrative aspects, disclose valuable insights into their methods, emphasize their unique contributions, and present their individual teaching styles.
