The Mayor of Perm congratulated the Veteran of the Great Patriotic War on his 100th Birthday

Eduard Sosnin Congratulated the Honorary Citizen of Perm Viktor Alikin on his jubilee and the upcoming 81st anniversary of Victory.

On April 27, the Honorary Citizen of Perm and veteran of the Great Patriotic War Viktor Alikin turned 100 years old. The Mayor of Perm Eduard Sosnin congratulated the veteran on his centennial jubilee, noting his contribution to the Victory and to the development of Perm science.

“It is an honour for me to congratulate Viktor and to express words of gratitude for his courage and fortitude. People like him are an example for all of us!” The Mayor of Perm Eduard Sosnin wrote on his MAX channel.

Viktor Alikin is a man of remarkable destiny. He was born on April 27, 1926, in the village of Tabory, Okhansky District, the Perm Region. At the height of the war, being just 16 years old, he enrolled in the V. M. Molotov Naval Aviation Technical School in Perm.

During the Great Patriotic War and after its end, Viktor Pavlovich served as a senior aircraft mechanic in a separate reconnaissance regiment of the Baltic Fleet Air Force. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, and the Medal For Victory over Germany.

After demobilization, Viktor Pavlovich devoted his life to science. He made his way from a student to the head of a department at the Perm State Pharmaceutical Institute. In 1978, he became an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Materials Technology at the Perm Polytechnic Institute, where he worked until 1993, educating more than one generation of Perm specialists.
