Perm Athlets Won the European Field Hockey Championship

Athlets from "Orlenok" sports school joined the Russian national team

According to the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Perm City Administration, the Russian national field hockey team (girls under 16) won the gold medal of the European U-16 Championship in Kutaisi, Georgia. In the final match, the team defeated Belarus with a score 6:3.

Through the tournament the Russian team confirmed its status as the strongest. In the group stage, the Russian team defeated the Armenian team 25-0 and the Bulgarian team 12-1, and then confidently defeated the Slovakian team 4-0 and the Belarusian team 4-1.

Varvara Zorina, Anna Kazarinova, Maria Safiullina, Daria Semyaninova, and Alisa Chetina from the "Orlyonok" sports school in Perm joined the Russian national team.

Notably, Daria Semyaninova became the tournament's top scorer, entering the championship history with 16 goals. The team achieved succes under the leadership of Perm coach Yulia Sedyaninova who joined the national coaching staff for the 5х5 field hockey team in 2026.
