Registration is ongoing in Perm for the seventh cross-country ski sprint "Yolki (Fir-Trees). The Perm Period."

On February 28, the competition will take place near the "Molot" Universal Sports Complex.

Through February 25, applications for participation in the race can be submitted.

The ski race event "Yolki. The Perm Period" will take place on a specially prepared ski track at the Universal Sports Complex "Molot." Minimum age for participants is 10 years old. After completing the race, each finishing participant will receive a commemorative medal. Winners and prizewinners in each age group will be awarded cups and certificates.

Registration for "Yolki. The Perm Period" and payment of the registration fee (for participants born in 2005 or younger) takes place on the SmartSport website.

The Perm Administration's Committee for Physical Culture and Sports clarified that this year's "Yolki. The Perm Period" ski sprint has become part of the "Winter Sports Festival," aimed at popularizing sport and an active lifestyle among city residents. Registration may also be closed prematurely upon reaching the maximum number of participants.

It is important to note that the first "Yolki. The Perm Period" ski sprint took place in the city center in December 2018. During the qualifying stage, 542 athletes participated among whom 60 were selected for the next stage. Notable professional athletes such as Olympic champions Nikita Kriukov and Yevgeny Dementiev, as well as bronze medalist from the Vancouver Games, Nikolay Morilov from Perm, competed in the main races. The winners of the sprint were Olga Tsareva from the Komi Republic and Artur Petrov from Yugra.
